WSCFF Line of Duty Death

James "Jimmy" Hendryx

It is with great sorrow that the WSCFF and Bremerton Fire Fighters IAFF Local 437 announce the line of duty death of firefighter/paramedic James Hendryx.  Brother Hendryx, 47, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2017 from Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma.  This is the first line of duty death in the 114 year history of the Bremerton Fire Department.

Jimmy was an avid bagpiper and was a pipe major in the Puget Sound Firefighters Pipes and Drums.  He had an infectious smile and was broadly known, well liked and a true brother to the fire fighting community.

The WSCFF would like to thank Brother Hendryx for his years of service.  Many will remember that he was the voice of the Power Through Participation videos.

Jimmy is survived by his wife, young son and daughter.
